Outbound agreements - Forwarding

Image
When creating outbound agreements, it's important to setup the Empty Mapping Output properly. In most cases if we are mapping from one format to another, for example from IDoc to EDI, we don't want to forward the IDoc in case of empty mapping. Another important point is to use Acknowledgement Timeout (on the example is 24 hours). Mail Receiver should be a real email, do not try to use system variables or Partner Mail (Mail / Addresses / Partners) because it does not work.

SFTP - Polling settings

Image
When creating SFTP Client Addresses it considered best practice to use "Polling settings". Activate the Check if file is complete with for example 500 milliseconds between checks. It will prevent incomplete files from been picked .

How monitor Reorganizations

BIS Reorganization delete data (runtime data: processes, attachment, restart points etc.) and old processes created by BIS Process Engine. Waiting and failed messages won't be deleted by default. To access information about the last reorganization executed, open BIS Front-end / Monitoring / Dashboard and verify time, it should not be longer than 1 minute. Reorganization configuration and besides it should be scheduled:

Regression test

Image
Regression test are usually required after a map change. This are the steps to follow: Create a baseline in your Production environnent. Open the Entities explorer (Front-end, Configuration) and open the Folder containing the entity and map changed. Then add the TestBaseLine and TestSamples, on the example below is set to 10 samples. We will have to wait until 10 samples are saved on the production baseline path. Once we have the samples in production, we will copy all folders contaning the name of the map to the test baseline path. The folder tree will start with the LS (for example: 000), Baseline folder (tag) and another folder named Baseline. \\....\Regression\000\Retail\Baseline Copy the folders from production in Baseline. Open Scheduler tasks in your test environment (Front-end, Configuration, Scheduler) and create a schedule named Regression_MapName for example. Create a Listener (Type: EvenListener) with Parameter 1 = RegressionTesting and Parameter 2 = B...

How to Register

If you have Seeburger on premise, server's register sometimes becomes corrupted after an expected shutdown or reboot. Steps to register: Stop Seeburger services (Central, Process Engine or Adapter Engine) Open a command prompt with admin rights Move to the drive and folder where BIS is installed. Example: cd c:\bis6 (enter) Move to software folder Example: cd software (enter) And type the following three commands, waiting for their execution after each step: export-config.bat (enter) import-config.bat (enter) register.bat (enter) After that you can start Seeburger services and hopefully it's going to work as expected. In case of errors, you will have to search the Logs.
